Job Summary
Oversee daily pharmacy operations to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing of medications while implementing and monitoring Standard Operating Procedures. Supervise prescription verification, dispensing accuracy, and patient counseling services, ensuring optimal utilization of pharmacy automation and monitoring turnaround times. Enforce full compliance with Pharmacists Council of Nigeria regulations by conducting routine audits on controlled drugs and maintaining accurate statutory documentation. Lead pharmacists, technicians, and support staff through duty roster development, performance appraisals, and coaching initiatives. Manage procurement planning, inventory control, and stock management to prevent shortages, while monitoring drug utilization trends and pharmacy budgets. Collaborate with healthcare providers and suppliers to improve service delivery and professionally resolve customer complaints. This fully on-site role in Abraham Adesanya, Ajah, Lagos requires a Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD with mandatory PCN registration and 5–7 years of post-qualification experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from a recognized institution
- Mandatory registration with the Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN) with a valid practicing license
- Minimum of 5 – 7 years post-qualification experience in pharmacy operations or pharmacy management
- Prior experience managing retail or hospital pharmacy operations
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and compliance standards
- Strong financial, inventory, and operational management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Sound problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems and Microsoft Office tools
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
- Fully on-site role based in Abraham Adesanya, Ajah, Lagos
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience managing retail or hospital pharmacy operations is highly desirable
