Job Summary
Manage all aspects of pharmacy operations at the store level, including prescriptions, inventory control, and customer service to achieve optimal outcomes. Maintain compliance with Federal, State, and Company policies while processing refill requests efficiently and accurately. Lead pharmacy staff through staffing, training, and performance management to develop a positive, high-performing culture. Prepare responses to third-party pharmacy audits and monitor department metrics such as gross profit, budgeted sales, and Rx counts. Maintain current knowledge of legal regulations and industry trends to recommend process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (Required) in Pharmacy or related field
- Two years' experience as a pharmacist
- Pharmacy License (in good standing) in the state of operation
- Successfully completes required continuing education hours and maintains Pharmacy License in good standing
- Working knowledge of perpetual inventory procedures and management
- Proficient in Word and Excel
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently
- Must be able to work in a typical retail store environment (varied temperatures)
- Must be able to be exposed to outside weather conditions
- Must be able to tolerate a noise level in the work environment that is usually low to moderate
Desired Qualifications
- Doctorate degree in Pharmacy preferred
- Immunization Certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules, pharmacy laws, rules, and guidelines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong management, organization, attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead a team and work well with associates of all levels
- Bilingual skills helpful based on demographic region
