Job Summary
Manage Pharmacy daily operations, including staff coverage, inventory control, drug procurement, and dispensing compliance with State Board of Pharmacy regulations. Act as resource for medical/provider staff and ensure physical security of medications while processing shipments, stocking shelves, and reporting sales. Assist in developing new programs, policies, and procedures related to drug storage and dispensing, and train staff on clinic directors' goals. Perform technical Pharmacy duties within licensure scope and report monthly on operations to the medical/pharmacy director. Requires California Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist license, Bachelor's degree, and ability to travel between sites.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- California Pharmacy Technician License
- Pharmacist License
- Formal training as Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacist
- Basic computer literacy ability to comply with department needs and expectations (i.e., electronic medical record documentation, obtaining background information and reports on patients, following up on appointments, etc.)
- Valid California driver's license
- An automobile
- Proof of minimum levels of car insurance as required under California law
