Job Summary
Pharmacy Manager leads and develops the store pharmacy team to deliver safe, patient-centered care including dispensing, immunizations, counseling, and adherence to regulatory standards. Responsibilities include onboarding new pharmacy staff, coaching and performance management, optimizing pharmacy workflow and inventory (with emphasis on cold-chain products), ensuring compliance with state/federal regulations, and collaborating with the Store Manager to maintain a healthy talent pipeline. The role also encompasses delivering pharmacist-led clinical services (e.g., testing and prescribing where permissible), training technicians and pharmacists on CVS workflow, and maintaining patient experiences through empathetic care and effective problem resolution. A valid pharmacist license, active NPI, compliance with Board of Pharmacy regulations, and the ability to lead a pharmacy team across a retail setting are required.
Required Qualifications
- Active Pharmacist License in the state where the Store is located
- Active National Provider Identifier (NPI)
- Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list
- 1-2 years of experience as a Pharmacist
