Job Summary
Receiving prescription requests and verifying their accuracy, then assisting with medication preparation, dispensing, and administration as prescribed. Maintain accurate records of medication stock, monitor expiration dates, and manage ordering and receiving of supplies. Gather medication histories, clarify orders with patients and providers, and provide education on usage and side effects. Ensure proper storage and security of all medications while cleaning equipment and work areas, including sterilization. Stock medication carts and adhere to correctional healthcare policies. Requires valid LPN license, Pharmacy Technician certificate, and BLS/CPR certification. Full-time role in Torrington, WY with competitive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited LPN program
- valid LPN license within the State of WY
- Current Pharmacy Technician certificate/license in WY
- active BLS/CPR Certification (AHA required)
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, medication administration, and pharmacy operations
- Attention to detail

- ability to maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
- Integrity, professionalism and ability to adhere to a Code of Conduct and comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies, procedures, and legal requirements
- Must pass the facility's criminal background check and drug screening
- Must have the ability to stand for long periods
- lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds)

- perform physically demanding tasks like CPR
- maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift
