Pharmacy Inventory Specialist

Job Summary
Conduct inventory counts, cycle counts, and physical inventory while investigating variances. Receive drug and supply orders, stock shelves using FEFO, and manage returns and transfers between pharmacies. Monitor out-of-stock medications by checking queues for upcoming patient orders and communicate with purchasing as necessary. Organize medications for dispensing by reading orders, preparing labels, and calculating quantities. Ensure all deliveries, including seasonal cold chain packing, comply with SOPs. Manage medication return processes involving manufacturer returns and replacement products. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to USP 800 guidelines and hazardous material handling. Escalate workflow or process improvement ideas to leadership. Work Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 6:00pm with up to 25% travel.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Certified Pharmacy Technician
- Associates degree
- Bachelor's degree
- Two or more years in a Pharmacy or Healthcare Setting
- Registration with Board of Pharmacy
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB)
- Deadline oriented
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Independent worker
- Remote: May live anywhere within the Continental USA
- Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00am to 6:00pm
- Travel: up to 25%
