Job Summary
Oversee staff education and supervision regarding inventory management within retail pharmacies, directing Inventory Technicians. Manage adherence to inventory policies and procedures while implementing cost savings initiatives, optimizing inventory levels and Parata usage, and assisting with 340B management. Ensure accurate tracking of drug trends, pricing, brand-to-generic changes, and supply shortages within the pharmacy workflow. This role reports to the Assistant Director of Purchasing and 340B Management at Johns Hopkins Care at Home, providing access to innovative treatments and collaborative care across multiple sites.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Health Care or Business related field
- Minimum of five (5) years retail pharmacy experience
- three (3) years of inventory management experience
Desired Qualifications
- Masters degree
- Managerial or Supervisor experience
- Pharmacist or Pharmacy Technician Registration with the Maryland Board of Pharmacy
- Understanding of the 340B drug discount program
- Drug trends including pricing, brand to generic changes and management of supply shortages
- Pharmacy workflow
- Inventory management policies and procedures
