Job Summary
Assist in technical and clinical aspects of preparing medications for dispensing and support pharmacy operations under preceptor supervision. Maintain competency in compounding sterile IV medications and participate as a reliable team member. Obtain BLS certification within 14 days of hire and complete IV training based on state requirements. This role supports the University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus, which offers 378 licensed beds and a legacy of compassionate care since 1909.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or GED
- Enrolled in an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy
- Active Registered Pharmacy Intern in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy, if required by state of employment
- IV Certification or training, based on state requirements
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
