Job Summary
Assist pharmacists in pharmaceutical care, including preparation and labeling of drug orders under supervision, dispensing to patient care areas, suggesting procedural improvements, maintaining inventory and records, handling verbal orders when authorized, training staff, and performing other duties as assigned; requires enrollment in/ completion of a Board of Pharmacy-approved technician course or current pharmacy program status, and current State Board of Pharmacy intern registration; teamwork, regulatory knowledge, and strong communication are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Board of Pharmacy approved technician course OR current enrollment or acceptance in a professional academic pharmacy program
- Current registration with State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy intern
- Knowledge of National, State, and Corporate regulations and standards
- Knowledge of medical and pharmacy terminology
- Mathematical skills
- Problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in team situations
- Ability to handle urgent, stressful situations
- Corporate and departmental mandatory training required annually
- Ability to exhibits interpersonal skills in interacting with supervisors, peers, and others outside pharmacy
