Job Summary
Adjudicate claims and fill prescriptions efficiently while accepting written requests and evaluating information for accuracy. Record medical histories maintaining HIPAA compliance, deliver customer service by responding to inquiries, and select, count, and label medications for pharmacist verification. Participate in inventory audits and purchasing of medications and pharmacy supplies. This role requires an active PA Board of Pharmacy Intern license and two years of pharmacy tech experience. Located in Pittsburgh, PA, this per diem position offers pay of $22-$24 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- active Pharmacist Intern license with the PA Board of Pharmacy
- in good standing with the PA Board of Pharmacy
- Computer experience
- Ability to operate various pharmacy software programs/equipment proficiently
Desired Qualifications
- Two or more years of pharmacy tech experience
- Retail Pharmacy experience
- A passion for outstanding customer service, professionalism, and teamwork
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing, to interact with a wide variety of individuals to successfully provide optimal patient care
