Job Summary
Pharmacy Intern assists pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription orders, supports inventory management, reads medication orders and prescriptions, prepares labels, compounds sterile and non-sterile products, communicates drug information to customers, and assists with orientation and training of new pharmacy colleagues. Maintains adequate inventory and adheres to pharmacy policies and regulations in a fast-paced environment. Requires a High School Diploma or GED and active enrollment in a pre-pharmacy or pharmacy degree program; strong math and computer skills are needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED
- Active enrollment in a pre-pharmacy or a pharmacy degree program at an accredited school of pharmacy
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good math skills
- Basic computer skills
