Job Summary
Graduate Pharmacy Intern opportunities at CVS Health within Retail locations. The role involves supporting pharmacy teams to ensure prescriptions are filled safely and accurately, delivering patient-centered service, and participating in a 120-day comprehensive training roadmap designed to deepen knowledge of store, district, and regional operations. You will learn to apply didactic learning from pharmacy school to real-world practice, assist with immunizations where permitted, counsel patients, field medical questions, handle telephonic prescriptions where allowed by state regulations, contribute to inventory activities, and uphold SOPs, patient safety, and empathetic, inclusive service. The position emphasizes collaboration with pharmacists and technicians, professional standards, and ongoing development toward greater accountability in pharmacy operations.
Required Qualifications
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Attention and Focus: ability to concentrate on a task
- Communication Skills: verbal and written communication
- Ability to follow SOPs and ensure patient safety
- Flexibility to travel to stores in the market as needed
