Job Summary
Graduate Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health will apply classroom learning to real-world practice within CVS pharmacy locations, supporting the pharmacy team to ensure safe, accurate prescription fulfillment and exceptional patient service. The role encompasses following SOPs, participating in a comprehensive 120-day training roadmap, assisting with immunizations where permitted, counseling patients when appropriate under licensed supervision, handling telephonic prescriptions and prescriber communications, contributing to inventory and operational activities, and traveling to stores across the market as needed to meet business needs. The position emphasizes patient safety, quality assurance, drug utilization review, adherence to regulatory standards, and professional development toward a Pharmacist role. The role requires flexibility for scheduling, a growth mindset, and collaboration with leaders, pharmacists, and technicians to deliver compassionate care and maintain a high-performing team.
Required Qualifications
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
- Failure to obtain required Pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation will result in separation of employment
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
