Job Summary
Graduate Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health in a part-time role within Retail locations. You will apply didactic learning from pharmacy school to real-world practice, follow SOPs, support pharmacy teams to ensure safe and efficient prescription fulfillment, participate in immunizations and patient interactions, and progressively assume greater responsibility in pharmacy operations, compliance, and customer service while traveling to stores in the market as needed. You will complete a comprehensive training roadmap within 120 days of graduation, work under a preceptor and district leadership, and pursue licensure requirements to advance toward Pharmacist roles. The role emphasizes patient safety, empathy, error prevention, DUR, and adherence to professional standards, with opportunities to contribute to immunizations where permitted by state regulations. Preferred qualifications include 1+ year related experience and immunization-certification readiness; compensation ranges from $19.75 to $42.00 hourly, with part-time benefits.
Required Qualifications
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
- Attention and Focus: Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
- Active communication skills to interact with patients and colleagues
- Mathematical reasoning for prescription calculations and workflow
- Relevant experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service preferred
