Job Summary
Graduate Pharmacy Intern responsibilities include supporting pharmacy teams in retail locations to ensure safe, efficient prescription fulfillment and high-quality patient service. You will follow SOPs, participate in a comprehensive 120-day training roadmap, assist with immunizations where permitted, counsel patients, handle telephonic prescriptions when allowed, contribute to inventory activities and cycle counts, and collaborate with pharmacists and technicians to improve patient safety and outcomes while developing clinical and technical knowledge for progression toward a pharmacist role. The role requires PharmD completion, licensure pursuit, strong empathy, communication, and a growth mindset, with flexible shifts and potential cross-store coverage as needed.
Required Qualifications
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
