Job Summary
Graduate Pharmacy Intern position at CVS Health within Retail locations. You will apply PharmD education to real-world practice under supervision, complete a 120-day training roadmap, assist with pharmacy operations to ensure safe and efficient prescription fulfillment, participate in immunizations, patient counseling, and delivering compassionate care, while learning SOPs and contributing to a safe, inclusive culture. Travel to stores in the market as needed to support business needs and expand clinical/technical knowledge; eligibility to obtain pharmacist licensure within state's guidelines is required within the designated timeframe.
Required Qualifications
- PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
- Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Essential Functions: Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- Ability to become immunization certified: Once state regulations are met, pharmacy interns should be striving to provide patient immunizations as this is an essential pharmacist function
- Ability to work in home store, and across the market in other locations, to meet business needs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
