Job Summary
Pharmacy Intern provides inventory control and formulary maintenance, replaces medication including dispense machine refill using unit-dose systems, maintains narcotics inventory and related paperwork, ensures floor stock and emergency drug boxes are kept at appropriate par levels, handles pharmacy reporting and tracking, reviews pharmacy profiles for accurate billing, reconciles narcotics, transfers charges to the business office, prioritizes orders, enters and fills orders for pharmacist verification, conducts daily rounds for the emergency drug box and med dispense machines, and handles PHI. Required Qualifications
- Meets State board of pharmacy registration or licensure requirement in the state of employment
- Enrolled in a professional degree program of a school or college of pharmacy that has been approved by the Board and satisfactorily progressing toward meeting the requirements for licensure as a Pharmacist; OR a graduate of an approved professional degree program of a school or college of Pharmacy or a graduate who has established educational equivalency by obtaining an Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination CommitteeTM (FPGEC®) Certificate, who is currently licensed by the Board of Pharmacy for the purpose of obtaining practical experience as a requirement for licensure as a Pharmacist; OR Qualified applicant awaiting examination for licensure or meeting Board requirements for re-licensure.
