Job Summary
Pharmacy Intern with responsibilities including inventory control and formulary maintenance, replacing medications and floor stock per policy, processing narcotics and related documentation, coordinating paperwork for pharmacy reporting and tracking, verifying drug dispenses for accurate billing, performing daily rounds to check emergency drug boxes and dispense machines, safeguarding protected health information, and supporting compliance with pharmacy policies; requires enrollment in a pharmacy degree program or current licensure-eligibility, with potential for licensure requirements and practical experience during residency in an inpatient rehabilitation/post-acute care setting.
Required Qualifications
- Meets State board of pharmacy registration or licensure requirement in the state of employment
- Enrolled in a professional degree program of a school or college of pharmacy that has been approved by the Board and satisfactorily progressing toward meeting the requirements for licensure as a Pharmacist; OR
- A graduate of an approved professional degree program of a school or college of Pharmacy or a graduate who has established educational equivalency by obtaining a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee (FPGEC) Certificate, who is currently licensed by the Board of Pharmacy for the purpose of obtaining practical experience as a requirement for licensure as a Pharmacist; OR
- Qualified applicant awaiting examination for licensure or meeting Board requirements for re-licensure
