Job Summary
Pharmacy Intern at Encompass Health responsible for inventory control and formulary maintenance, including ordering, receiving, and storage; replacing medications and dispensing through unit-dose systems; routine replacement of floor stock and narcotics inventory; maintaining paperwork for pharmacy reporting and tracking; reviewing pharmacy profiles and drug dispensing for accurate billing; reconciling narcotics cosigned doses; maintaining administration records and ensuring floor stock and IV medications are kept at appropriate par levels; maintaining emergency drug boxes and pharmacy inspection manuals; transferring pharmacy charges to the business office; prioritizing orders and delivering STAT orders; entering and filling orders for pharmacist verification; conducting daily rounds to check emergency drug boxes and medication dispensing machines; handling all PHI.
Required Qualifications
- Meets State board of pharmacy registration or licensure requirement in the state of employment
- Enrolled in a professional degree program of a school or college of pharmacy that has been approved by the Board and satisfactorily progressing toward meeting the requirements for licensure as a Pharmacist
- A graduate of an approved professional degree program of a school or college of Pharmacy or a graduate who has established educational equivalency by obtaining a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination Committee Certificate, who is currently licensed by the Board of Pharmacy for the purpose of obtaining practical experience as a requirement for licensure as a Pharmacist
