Job Summary
Pharmacy Intern at Encompass Health provides inventory control and formulary maintenance in the pharmacy, processes medication replacements and dispense machine refills, maintains narcotics inventory and related paperwork, ensures proper billing and documentation, conducts daily rounds to check drug boxes and dispense machines, and safeguards protected health information. Eligible candidates are enrolled in an accredited pharmacy degree program or licensed/eligible for licensure, with state board registration requirements satisfied. Required Qualifications
- Meets State board of pharmacy registration or licensure requirement in the state of employment.
- Enrolled in a professional degree program of a school or college of pharmacy that has been approved by the Board and satisfactorily progressing toward meeting the requirements for licensure as a Pharmacist; OR
- A graduate of an approved professional degree program of a school or college of Pharmacy or a graduate who has established educational equivalency by obtaining a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination CommitteeTM (FPGEC) Certificate, who is currently licensed by the Board of Pharmacy for the purpose of obtaining practical experience as a requirement for licensure as a Pharmacist; OR
- Qualified applicant awaiting examination for licensure or meeting Board requirements for re-licensure.
