Job Summary
Pharmacy Intern at Encompass Health provides inventory control, formulary maintenance, dispensing and restocking medications, narcotics inventory and sign-out, maintains necessary paperwork, reconciles medications for accurate billing, reviews pharmacy profiles for billing, delivers STAT orders, enters and fills orders for pharmacist verification, conducts daily rounds to check emergency drug box and med dispense machines, and handles all PHI. The role supports clinical operations in an inpatient rehabilitation setting and requires enrollment in an approved pharmacy program or current licensure considerations per state board requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Meets State board of pharmacy registration or licensure requirement in the state of employment
- Enrolled in a professional degree program of a school or college of pharmacy that has been approved by the Board and satisfactorily progressing toward meeting the requirements for licensure as a Pharmacist; OR
- A graduate of an approved professional degree program of a school or college of Pharmacy or a graduate who has established educational equivalency by obtaining a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examinations CommitteeTM (FPGEC®) Certificate, who is currently licensed by the Board of Pharmacy for the purpose of obtaining practical experience as a requirement for licensure as a Pharmacist; OR
- Qualified applicant awaiting examination for licensure or meeting Board requirements for re-licensure.
