Job Summary
Pharmacy Intern opportunity at Encompass Health involving inventory control and formulary maintenance, dispensing duties, narcotics inventory management, and documentation. Responsibilities include maintaining floor stock and IV medications, handling pharmacy paperwork, processing charges, performing daily rounds, and ensuring PHI privacy. Requires state board registration/licensure or enrollment in an accredited pharmacy program, with possible FPGEC pathway for licensure; location: Ferriday, LA (onsite).
Required Qualifications
- Meets State board of pharmacy registration or licensure requirement in the state of employment
- Enrolled in a professional degree program of a school or college of pharmacy that has been approved by the Board and satisfactorily progressing toward meeting the requirements for licensure as a Pharmacist; OR
- A graduate of an approved professional degree program of a school or college of Pharmacy or a graduate who has established educational equivalency by obtaining a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination CommitteeTM (FPGEC®) Certificate, who is currently licensed by the Board of Pharmacy for the purpose of obtaining practical experience as a requirement for licensure as a Pharmacist; OR
- Qualified applicant awaiting examination for licensure or meeting Board requirements for re-licensure.
