Job Summary
Pharmacy Intern Career Opportunity at Encompass Health. Provides inventory control and formulary maintenance in the pharmacy, processes medication dispensing and floor stock management, maintains narcotics records and documentation, conducts rounds, ensures PHI protection, and supports patient care with timely medication handling under the supervision of a pharmacist. Requires enrollment in an accredited pharmacy professional degree program or current state licensure requirements for practical experience as a Pharmacist; opportunities for tuition reimbursement and continuing education are available.
Required Qualifications
- Meets State board of pharmacy registration or licensure requirement in the state of employment.
- Enrolled in a professional degree program of a school or college of pharmacy that has been approved by the Board and satisfactorily progressing toward meeting the requirements for licensure as a Pharmacist; OR
- A graduate of an approved professional degree program of a school or college of Pharmacy or a graduate who has established educational equivalency by obtaining a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Examination CommitteeTM (FPGEC®) Certificate, who is currently licensed by the Board of Pharmacy for the purpose of obtaining practical experience as a requirement for licensure as a Pharmacist; OR
- Qualified applicant awaiting examination for licensure or meeting Board requirements for re-licensure.
