Pharmacy Intern

Pharmacy Intern at Encompass Health provides inventory control and formulary maintenance, processes medication dispensing (including unit-dose and narcotics inventory), replaces floor stock, maintains necessary paperwork and pharmacy reporting, reviews pharmacy profiles for accurate billing, reconciles narcotics, manages administration records, ensures floor stock and emergency boxes are maintained, completes the pharmacy inspection manual, transfers charges to the business office, prioritizes orders and delivers STAT orders, enters and fills orders for pharmacist verification, conducts daily rounds to check emergency drug box and med-dispense machines, and handles all PHI. Requires state board licensure or active progression toward licensure as a pharmacist, with eligibility through an approved professional degree program or foreign credential (FPGEC). Emphasizes teamwork, compliance, and patient-centered care in a large national post-acute care system.
