Job Summary
3rd year Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health supporting pharmacy teams in retail locations. Responsibilities include following SOPs, assisting with safe and accurate prescription fulfillment across production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off workstations; counseling patients, answering medical questions, and escalating as needed; taking telephonic prescriptions and clarifying changes with prescribers where allowed by state regulation; participating in a comprehensive training roadmap with KLEs, gaining exposure to store, district, and regional operations; contributing to patient experiences with empathy and care; maintaining inventory and supporting immunization services where permissible; traveling to stores in the market to meet business needs; and adhering to regulatory and ethical standards. Requirements include active enrollment in an ACPE-accredited pharmacy program and licensure requirements for interns/technicians; regular attendance including nights and weekends; strong communication, math, and customer service skills; and willingness to obtain immunization certification where regulations permit.
Required Qualifications
- Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
