Job Summary
Pharmacy intern role under licensed supervision in CVS Health, focusing on patient care and pharmacy operations. Responsibilities include leading with heart to support patients, assisting with patient care programs, ensuring a safe and efficient Retail Pharmacy environment, contributing to quality assurance, regulatory compliance, inventory management, and workflow management, and providing strong customer service. The role emphasizes collaboration with the pharmacy team, ongoing learning, and growth within a program that supports access, cost reduction, and quality improvement. The position is part-time and requires enrollment in an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy, with valid intern/licensure processes as applicable and the ability to work nights and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- 0-3 years relevant work experience
- Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
- Ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
- Lift, scan, and bag items
- Finger Dexterity: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than whole hand or arm
- Reach overhead; able to stretch or reach out with the body, arms, and/or legs to grasp items
- Extend hand(s) and arm(s) multiple directions to place, move, or lift items
- Stoop to a considerable degree and requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles to move items
- Visual Acuity: Close visual acuity to perform activities such as: transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, visual inspection involving small parts
- Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs; exerting up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently
- Ability To: Have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Complete any additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager
- Complete all required training and obtain required licensure (if applicable) within state guidelines
- Immunization eligibility
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
