Job Summary
3rd year Pharmacy Intern in CVS Health Retail locations focused on applying didactic learning from pharmacy school into real-world practice under a preceptor. The role involves following SOPs to support pharmacists and technicians, assisting with prescription fulfillment and safe, accurate dispensing, counseling patients, and contributing to positive patient experiences. Interns will gain hands-on experience through a comprehensive training roadmap with Key Learning Experiences, learn store, district, and regional operations, and may travel to stores in the market to support business needs, all while maintaining patient privacy and providing empathetic care. The position emphasizes teamwork, continuous learning, and expanding clinical and technical knowledge in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment.
Required Qualifications
- Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
- Customer service and teamwork abilities
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to perform mathematical reasoning for prescription calculations
