Job Summary
Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health, supported by a comprehensive training roadmap, focusing on applying pharmacy school learnings to real-world practice. You will assist the pharmacy team to ensure accurate prescription fulfillment, deliver care with empathy, counsel patients when appropriate, handle telephonic prescriptions, participate in immunization services where allowed, and contribute to safe and efficient pharmacy operations across multiple workstations (production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off). You will learn to follow SOPs, engage in inventory activities, and collaborate with licensed pharmacists and technicians while traveling to stores in the market as needed. The role emphasizes patient experiences, safety, accuracy, and continuous learning through Key Learning Experiences (KLEs) and leadership interactions, with opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge and advance toward a Pharmacist role.
Required Qualifications
- Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
- Customer Service and Team Orientation: Actively look for ways to help people, and do so in a friendly manner
- Attention and Focus: Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
- Mathematical Reasoning: Ability to use math to solve a problem
- Communication Skills: Use and understand verbal and written communication to interact with patients and colleagues
