Job Summary
3rd year Pharmacy Intern supports the pharmacy team across a range of operations to ensure safe, accurate prescription fulfillment and high-quality patient service. Responsibilities include following SOPs, assisting with production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off workflows; counseling and fielding medical questions with appropriate escalation; taking telephonic prescriptions and clarifications where allowed; maintaining inventory and performing cycle counts; contributing to a positive patient experience with empathy and care; and pursuing additional licensure/immunization duties as permitted by state regulations. The internship follows a comprehensive training roadmap with Key Learning Experiences (KLEs) and exposure to store, district, and regional operations, under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Required Qualifications
- Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
