Job Summary
3rd-year Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health supporting pharmacy teams across the prescription-filling workflow, patient counseling, immunizations, and customer service. Under the direction of a preceptor, you will complete a comprehensive training roadmap with KLEs, gain exposure to store/district operations, and help ensure safe, accurate, and timely medication dispensing while adhering to SOPs and regulatory requirements. You’ll learn to communicate effectively with patients, assist with immunizations where allowed, and collaborate with pharmacists and technicians to deliver compassionate, high-quality care. The role includes flexible shifts with potential travel to other stores in the market to support business needs. This is a part-time internship focused on applying didactic learning from pharmacy school to real-world practice and preparing for greater responsibility as a Pharmacist.
Required Qualifications
- Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
- Customer Service and Team Orientation: actively help people in a friendly manner
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact with patients and colleagues
- Ability to follow SOPs and comply with pharmacy laws and regulations
- Willingness to travel to stores in the market to support business needs
- Basic math and prescription-labeling accuracy abilities
- Attention and Focus, and adaptability to pivot between tasks
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks as required
- Preferred Qualifications: immunization certification readiness, Microsoft Suite proficiency
- Ability to work across the market to meet business needs
