Job Summary
Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health, 3rd-year student role in a retail pharmacy environment under licensed pharmacist supervision. Core duties include patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, inventory and workflow management, customer service, and contributing to patient care programs. Demonstrates empathy and teamwork, seeks opportunities to improve outcomes, and supports immunization activities where regulations allow. Requires enrollment in ACPE-accredited pharmacy program, ability to work a schedule that may include nights/weekends, and lifting/physical activity consistent with retail pharmacy tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- 0-3 years relevant work experience
- Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
Desired Qualifications
- ACPE-accredited pharmacy program enrollment
- Immunization eligibility (preferred)
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work nights and weekends
- Lifting up to 20 lbs and physical stamina for extended periods
