Job Summary
3rd year Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health supporting pharmacy teams in a retail setting, applying classroom knowledge to real-world practice, and following a comprehensive training roadmap with KLEs to prepare for a Pharmacist role. Responsibilities include assisting with all pharmacy operations to ensure safe, accurate prescription fulfillment; delivering empathetic customer service; applying SOPs; counseling and responding to patient questions when appropriate under supervision; handling telephonic prescriptions; participating in immunization activities where permitted; contributing to inventory management and scheduling flexibility; and traveling to stores in the market as needed to support business needs. The role emphasizes teamwork, continuous learning, regulatory compliance, patient safety, and delivering high-quality care.
Required Qualifications
- Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Desired Qualifications
- ACPE-accredited pharmacy program enrollment
- Active enrollment or acceptance into ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy
- Valid intern and/or technician licensure as required by state
- Ability to travel to different CVS locations in the market as needed
- Immunization certification eligibility (preferred)
- Strong customer service and teamwork skills
- Familiarity with pharmacy SOPs and patient data privacy requirements
