Job Summary
3rd year Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health within a retail pharmacy setting. Focus on applying pharmacy school learning to real-world practice under a preceptor, supporting pharmacy operations to ensure safe, accurate prescription fulfillment and positive patient experiences. Responsibilities include following SOPs, assisting with production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off workflows; counseling patients when appropriate; handling telephonic prescriptions and clarifications with prescribers; assisting with immunizations and vaccination support where permitted; participating in inventory activities and cycle counts; contributing to a high-performing team and safety culture; completing a comprehensive training roadmap built around Key Learning Experiences; and potentially traveling to stores in the market to support business needs while complying with federal, state, and local regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
- Attention and Focus: ability to concentrate on a task
- Communication Skills: verbal and written communication
- Mathematical Reasoning: use math to solve problems
- Ability to pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient and business needs
- Customer Service and Team Orientation: helpful, friendly demeanor
- Immunization certification readiness (preferred)
- Travel flexibility within market stores as needed
