Job Summary
Pharmacy Intern role under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist within CVS Health Retail Pharmacy. Responsible for supporting patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, inventory and workflow management, and delivering patient care alongside the pharmacy team. Duties include aiding in patient care programs, fostering a caring and collaborative environment, and contributing to efforts to increase access and reduce costs. Requires enrollment in an ACPE-accredited pharmacy program and active or in-process licensure as an intern/technician, with eligibility to perform pharmacy-related tasks and potentially immunizations as regulations allow.
Required Qualifications
- Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- 0-3 years relevant work experience
- Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
- Ability to attend regular and predictable attendance including nights and weekends
- Lift, scan, and bag items
- Finger Dexterity and visual acuity requirements
- Ability to work in a team and deliver patient care
- Pharmacy Intern - immunization eligibility (preferred)
