Job Summary
Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health (MD - New Market) under licensed pharmacist supervision. Involves contributing to patient safety and high-quality care, participating in pharmacy professional practice and regulatory compliance, quality assurance, inventory and workflow management, and delivering compassionate customer service. Responsibilities include leading with empathy, seeking collaboration to improve patient outcomes, and supporting immunization activities once state regulations are met. Part-time position with opportunities to grow professionally in a retail pharmacy setting.
Required Qualifications
- Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- 0-3 years relevant work experience
- Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
- Ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
- Lift, scan, and bag items
- Finger Dexterity: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers
- Reach overhead; able to stretch or reach out with the body, arms, and/or legs to grasp items
- Extend hand(s) and arm(s) multiple directions to place, move, or lift items
- Stoop to a considerable degree and requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles to move items
- Visual Acuity: Close visual acuity to perform activities such as transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, visual inspection involving small parts
- Able to orally communicate information and instructions to colleagues and customers
- Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs; exerting up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently
- Ability To: Have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Complete any additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager
- Complete all required training and obtain required licensure (if applicable) within state guidelines
