Job Summary
Pharmacy intern role under licensed pharmacist supervision in a part-time Retail Pharmacy team focused on patient safety, medication adherence, and quality assurance. Responsibilities include leading with empathy, collaborating to improve outcomes, managing patient care programs, assisting with inventory, workflow management, regulatory compliance, and customer service. The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and adherence to state guidelines, with opportunities to gain immunization eligibility as state regulations allow. The position requires enrollment in an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy, is 0-3 years of relevant experience, and includes typical pharmacy duties such as supporting the pharmacy team and ensuring safe, effective care for patients. The role is part-time with a pay range of $20.00-$42.00 per hour, eligible for various benefits, and may include evening or weekend hours.
Required Qualifications
- Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- 0-3 years relevant work experience
- Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
- Ability to Have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
- Lift, scan, and bag items
- Reach overhead; able to stretch or reach out with the body, arms, and/or legs to grasp items
- Extend hand(s) and arm(s) multiple directions to place, move, or lift items
- Stoop to a considerable degree and requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles to move items
- Visual Acuity: Close visual acuity to perform activities such as: transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading
- Able to orally communicate information and instructions to colleagues and customers
- Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs; exerting up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally
- Ability To: Have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Complete any additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager
- Complete all required training and obtain required licensure (if applicable) within state guidelines
