Job Summary
Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health (3rd-year student) working under a licensed pharmacist in a Retail Pharmacy environment. Primary responsibilities include patient safety, adherence to regulatory requirements, quality assurance, inventory and workflow management, and delivering patient care programs. The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, collaboration with teammates, and supporting efforts to improve access and quality of care. Preferred qualifications include immunization eligibility and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. This part-time intern position requires regular attendance, flexibility for nights and weekends, and attaining state licensure where applicable. Pay range listed is $18.00-$19.75 per hour, with prospects for pharmacy-imposed training and development.
Required Qualifications
- Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- 0-3 years relevant work experience
- Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
- Ability to Have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
- Lift, scan, and bag items
- Finger Dexterity: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers
- Reach overhead; able to stretch or reach out with the body, arms, and/or legs to grasp items
- Extend hand(s) and arm(s) multiple directions to place, move, or lift items
- Stoop to a considerable degree and requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles to move items between low and high positions, including bending spine at the waist
- Visual Acuity: Close visual acuity to perform activities such as: transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, visual inspection involving small parts
- Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs; exerting up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently
- Ability To: Have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Complete any additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager
- Complete all required training and obtain required licensure (if applicable) within state guidelines
