Job Summary
As a 3rd-year pharmacy intern at CVS Health, you’ll be embedded in the pharmacy team under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to help deliver safe, effective, high-quality care. You will lead with heart by showing empathy and collaboration to support patient care programs, assist in advising on prescriptions, and help manage chronic and specialty conditions. Primary duties include patient safety initiatives, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, customer service, inventory management, and workflow management. The role emphasizes developing in a team-oriented environment, growing through state guidelines training, and contributing to a culture that prioritizes accessible, affordable health care. This part-time internship requires enrollment in an ACPE-accredited program, relevant experience (0-3 years), and licensure as applicable, with regular attendance including nights and weekends, and the ability to lift and manage items as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- 0-3 years relevant work experience
- Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
- Ability to regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods
- Lifting, scanning, and bagging items; visual and fine motor dexterity requirements
- Ability to read, transcribe, and convey information clearly
- Pharmacy-specific regulatory compliance experience (as applicable)
