Job Summary
Apply didactic pharmacy school learning to real-world practice under preceptor direction. Complete a comprehensive training roadmap featuring Key Learning Experiences and hands-on activities with district leaders. Assist pharmacy teams to ensure smooth operations, safe and accurate prescription fulfillment, and caring service that exceeds patient expectations. Follow Standard Operating Procedures and best practices while demonstrating empathy during customer and colleague interactions. Operate as part of the team by counseling patients, fielding medical questions, and soliciting medical history information under direct supervision. Take telephonic prescriptions, clarify prescriptions with prescribers, and maintain self-awareness through in-the-moment coaching and mentoring. Perform basic inventory activities including putting away deliveries, cycle counts, and returns-to-stocks. Contribute to a high-performing team by embracing a growth mindset, seeking knowledge expansion, and remaining flexible for scheduling and business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- Ability to become immunization certified
- Ability to work in home store, and across the market in other locations, to meet business needs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
