Job Summary
3rd year Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health, embedded in retail pharmacy teams to apply didactic learning to real-world practice, support all aspects of pharmacy workflow (production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off), and contribute to safe, accurate prescription fulfillment while delivering empathetic, patient-centered service. The role emphasizes hands-on training through a comprehensive roadmap (KLEs) under a licensed pharmacist, opportunities to counsel patients, assist with immunizations where permitted, and travel to stores across the market to meet business needs. Requires enrollment in an ACPE-accredited pharmacy program and valid intern/technician licensure, with regular attendance including nights and weekends, and the ability to learn and adapt within SOP-driven environments.
Required Qualifications
- Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
- Ability to interact with patients and colleagues
- Ability to perform essential functions and duties in a pharmacy setting
- Attention to detail and accuracy in prescription processing
- Effective communication skills
- Basic mathematical reasoning for dosing and dispensing
