Job Summary
3rd year Pharmacy Intern responsible for supporting pharmacy teams in retail settings, following SOPs, assisting with prescription fulfillment, immunizations, patient counseling, and working under a licensed pharmacist to gain hands-on experience across store operations, inventory, and customer service. Key duties include following workflow procedures for production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off; counseling patients when appropriate; obtaining patient history information; handling telephonic prescriptions and clarifications; assisting with immunization training and potential Technician Immunizer status; maintaining accuracy in labeling and processing prescriptions; supporting inventory and controlled substance processes; and contributing to a safe, inclusive patient-centered environment. Requires attendance on nights/weekends and the ability to travel within the market stores as needed; preferred qualifications include 1+ year in pharmacy/retail/customer service and ability to obtain immunization certification, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and willingness to work across the market to meet business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
