Job Summary
3rd year Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health supporting pharmacy teams in retail locations (Ankeny, IA). Under the direction of a preceptor, you will follow a comprehensive training roadmap focused on KLEs and gaining increasing responsibility in safe, accurate prescription fulfillment, patient counseling, immunizations where permitted, and contributing to a high-performing team. Responsibilities include following SOPs, assisting with production, drive-thru, and pickup workflows, counseling patients, handling telephonic prescriptions when allowed, supporting inventory and cycle counts, and traveling to stores across the market to meet business needs while maintaining patient privacy and regulatory compliance. Preferred candidates are actively enrolled in an ACPE-accredited program, may pursue immunization certification, and possess or be pursuing intern/technician licensure; strong math, communication, and Microsoft Suite skills are valued.
Required Qualifications
- Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to learn and apply SOPs and participate in immunization services where permitted
- Ability to work across stores in the market as needed by the business
