Job Summary
3rd year Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health: participating in a structured training roadmap to apply pharmacy school learnings in real-world store operations. You’ll support pharmacy teams to ensure safe, accurate prescription fulfillment across production, drive-thru, and pickup, while delivering empathetic patient care and contributing to an inclusive patient experience. Responsibilities include following SOPs, assisting with immunizations where allowed, counseling patients when appropriate, handling telephonic prescriptions under a licensed pharmacist, assisting with inventory and cycle counts, and collaborating with store leadership to develop clinical and technical knowledge. The role requires regular attendance, willingness to travel within the market as needed, and readiness to engage in ongoing development of clinical and technical competencies. Pay range is $18.00-$19.75 per hour for a part-time position, with benefits eligibility depending on hours and programs offered. Required Qualifications
- Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
- Attention and Focus: Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time
- Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another to meet patient and business needs
- Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy, ensuring patient safety
- Customer Service and Team Orientation: Actively look for ways to help people, and do so in a friendly manner
- Communication Skills: Verbal and written communication to interact with patients and colleagues
- Mathematical Reasoning: Use math to solve problems (e.g., dosage calculations)
- Problem Resolution: Identify challenging patient or colleague interactions and act
- Physical Demands: mobility, lifting up to 20 lbs, standing for long periods
- Any additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager
- Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service; Immunization certification readiness; ability to work across the market; proficiency in Microsoft Suite
