Job Summary
Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health working under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist in a retail pharmacy setting. The role focuses on patient safety, pharmacy professional practice, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and delivering excellent customer service. You will lead with empathy, collaborate with the pharmacy team, manage inventory and workflow, and contribute to patient care programs to support healthier outcomes. The position requires ongoing education through an ACPE-accredited college, ability to attend nights/weekends, and eligibility for intern licensure with state guidelines. The role emphasizes hands-on activities such as assisting with prescriptions, communicating with patients and colleagues, and supporting immunization efforts as regulations permit.
Required Qualifications
- Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- 0-3 years relevant work experience
- Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
- Ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods
- Lift, scan, and bag items
- Finger Dexterity: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers
- Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs; exerting up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently
