Job Summary
3rd year Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health in a Retail pharmacy setting. You will support pharmacy teams to ensure safe, accurate prescription fulfillment while delivering empathetic patient care. Under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you’ll follow SOPs, complete a comprehensive training roadmap with key learning experiences, counsel patients when appropriate, assist with immunizations where allowed by state regulations, and contribute to a high-performing team. The role involves hands-on responsibilities across production, pick-up, drive-thru, and inventory activities, with opportunities to gain exposure to store, district, and regional operations. Flexibility to travel to stores in the market is expected, and the position is part-time with eligibility for benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Ability to concentrate and pivot quickly between tasks
- Strong customer service and teamwork orientation
- Ability to counsel and respond to medical questions under supervision
- Ability to perform potential immunization-related tasks where allowed by state regulations
- Attention to detail and mathematical reasoning for prescription fulfillment
- Flexibility to travel to stores in the market as needed
- Ability to comply with policies and procedures including safety, privacy, and security
