Job Summary
Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health (Part-Time) under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. The role involves delivering patient-centered care within a retail pharmacy setting, emphasizing patient safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, inventory and workflow management, and excellent customer service. Key responsibilities include leading with empathy for patients, collaborating with the pharmacy team, supporting patient care programs, enabling immunization services when state regulations are met (preferred), and performing tasks to maintain a safe and efficient pharmacy environment. The position requires acceptable attendance including nights and weekends, mobility to stand for extended periods, and the ability to lift up to 20 lbs and perform tasks with fine motor skills. Education is through enrollment in an ACPE-accredited pharmacy program, with licensure processes as applicable. Benefits and pay are outlined for a part-time role, with a typical pay range of $18.75-$21.75 per hour depending on hours and eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- 0-3 years relevant work experience
- Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframe
- Ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods
- Lift, scan, and bag items
- Finger Dexterity: Picking, pinching, typing or otherwise working primarily with fingers
- Reach overhead; able to stretch or reach out with the body, arms, and/or legs to grasp items
- Extend hand(s) and arm(s) multiple directions to place, move, or lift items
- Stoop to a considerable degree and requiring full use of the lower extremities and back muscles to move items
- Visual Acuity: Close visual acuity to perform activities such as transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, visual inspection involving small parts
- Able to orally communicate information and instructions to colleagues and customers
- Occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs; exerting up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently
- Have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Complete any additional tasks as directed by supervisor or manager
- Complete all required training and obtain required licensure (if applicable) within state guidelines
