Job Summary
3rd year Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health supporting pharmacy teams in retail locations. You will follow SOPs, assist with standard prescription fulfillment across production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off workstations, and help deliver compassionate patient service. The role emphasizes applying didactic learning from pharmacy school into practice, completing a comprehensive training roadmap with Key Learning Experiences, and gaining exposure to store, district, and regional operations. You will counsel patients when appropriate, handle telephonic prescriptions, collect patient medical history to support optimal care under pharmacist supervision, assist with immunizations where permissible, contribute to inventory activities, and participate in a collaborative, high-performing team while traveling to stores across the market as needed. You will operate within federal, state, and local regulations, comply with CVS policies to ensure patient safety and privacy, and support additional patient health care services as allowed by state regulations. Preferred qualifications include 1+ years of related work experience and immunization certification readiness. Pay range is $18.50 - $42.00 hourly, with part-time benefits eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Customer Service and Team Orientation
- Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues
- Mathematical Reasoning and problem resolution
- Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
