Job Summary
As a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern at CVS Health, you’ll apply didactic learning in real-world pharmacy settings, supporting pharmacy teams to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment while gaining hands-on experience across store, district, and regional operations. You’ll follow SOPs, assist with immunizations and patient-counseling, handle telephonic prescriptions under a licensed pharmacist, participate in inventory activities, and contribute to a high-performing, empathetic patient experience as you scale to increased responsibilities in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.
Required Qualifications
- Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
- Ability to concentrate and pivot between tasks to meet patient and business needs
- Customer Service and Team Orientation: actively help people and communicate effectively
- Detail-oriented: confirm prescription information and label accuracy to ensure patient safety
- Mathematical reasoning to dispense medications and calculate supplies
- Physical ability to stand for long periods and perform typical pharmacy tasks
- Willingness to travel to stores in the market as needed
- Preferred: immunization certification and ability to provide vaccines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite
