Job Summary
Work as a third-year pharmacy intern under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. Deliver exceptional patient care by managing patient care programs, overseeing inventory, and handling workflow management while excluding final prescription verification. Maintain regulatory compliance, support quality assurance, and provide customer service. Lead with empathy for patients, caregivers, and colleagues; collaborate to deliver better outcomes and facilitate a team culture of caring and enthusiasm. Complete all required training within state guidelines and obtain necessary licensure. This part-time role at CVS Health supports our mission of increasing access and improving quality of care.
Required Qualifications
- Accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- 0-3 years relevant work experience
- Must possess or be in process of obtaining valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to have regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Ability to be mobile and remain upright for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift, scan, and bag items
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs; exerting up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently
- Close visual acuity to perform activities such as transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visual inspection involving small parts
- Ability to orally communicate information and instructions to colleagues and customers
