Job Summary
Assist the pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately while following Standard Operating Procedures and best practices. Support pharmacy operations by completing Key Learning Experiences, managing inventory activities such as cycle counts, and facilitating patient interactions including immunizations and counseling under direct supervision. Take telephonic prescriptions, clarify medication changes, and provide in-the-moment coaching to team members while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focused on store, district, and regional operations to prepare for an increasing responsibility in pharmacy safety and effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
- Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs and/or exert up to 20 lbs. of force
- Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs and/or exert up to 10 lbs. of force
- Must be able to lift and/or exert a negligible amount of force to move objects
- Must have close visual acuity to perform activities such as: transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, reading, visual inspection involving small parts
- Must be able to receive detailed information through oral communication
- Must be able to express or exchange ideas by means of spoken word where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed accurately
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- Ability to become immunization certified
- Ability to work in home store, and across the market in other locations, to meet business needs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
